Fabric of Us
Yarn Balm rEVOLution is a craftivism activation and creative protest against humanity’s weaponised rage, disquieting societal collapse, scarcity and environmental neglect at this unprecedented stitch in time. Mending the fabric of us requires more than a darning needle. It calls for a reparative revolution towards harmonious co-existence.

Yarn Balm rEVOLution
This revolution sparked quietly at the southernmost tip of Africa. Craftivists continue to respond to its dire call for interventions that fuel revolutionary healing and collective wellbeing. Circles of care embody handmade yarn balms that are intimately welcomed into our abodes and communal spaces. We co-create in an inclusive, non-partisan, non-political and non-denominational ethos of reciprocity, generosity and reparation. Its intention ripples similarly to the African proverb, “each one, teach one.”

Mending Broken Hearts
“Our collective heartbeat is pounding. Imagine if it was as easy to mend broken hearts as it is to mend distressed fabric. Imagine if we were wiser for having experienced brokenness instead of re-ripping our hearts, over and over again.” – Stacey a.k.a. Curious Sleuth
(Inspired by the Japanese art of Kintsugi, repairing broken ceramics with gold.)
rEVOLutionary Love
rEVOLutionary love is the call of our times embodying the wisdom of bell hooks: “love is an action, never simply a feeling.” It is a catalyst for change reaching beyond our current global crises. We craft love and stitch ourselves back together by compassionately connecting with the other. The rEVOLution transmutes into EVOLution as we thread insights into our yarns are tellers of us.
